The Quill Monoderm knotless tissue-closure device is an absorbable suture with needle, made of polyglycolic acid / PCL. It is a barbed monofilament suture, so the closure does not rely on tied knots. It is double-armed, with a needle on each end of the suture.
- Quill knotless tissue-closure technology for wound closure, using bidirectional fixation within the wound
- Helically arrayed barbs distribute tension across the entire length of the wound or tissue being approximated
- Barbs eliminate the need for interrupted suture or tying knots
- Bidirectional barb design lets two surgeons work on one closure at the same time, which may increase operating time efficiency
- Absorbable barbed monofilament suture, size 2-0
- Suture material: polyglycolic acid / PCL, 12-strand, undyed and uncoated
