The Quill Knotless Tissue-Closure Device with Monoderm suture is an absorbable suture with a needle, made by Surgical Specialties. It uses barbs along the suture to hold tissue in place, so no knots are needed. Facility buyers can check the needle and suture specs below.
- Quill knotless technology uses bidirectional fixation within the wound for closure
- Helically arrayed barbs distribute tension across the entire length of the wound or tissue being approximated
- Barbs remove the need for interrupted suture or tied knots
- Bidirectional barb design allows two surgeons to work on one closure at the same time, which may increase operating time efficiency
- Absorbable Monoderm suture with needle
