Description / Surgical Specialties Y464N - Monoderm™ Suture with Needle - 1/Box
The Surgical Specialties Monoderm suture with needle is a synthetic absorbable monofilament, meaning a single smooth strand that the body absorbs over time. It is made of polyglycolic acid / PCL and comes attached to a 13 mm stainless steel needle. It is used for subcuticular closure and soft tissue approximation.
- Synthetic absorbable monofilament with excellent pliability and handling characteristics
- Retains 64 - 76% tensile strength at 7 days and 40% at 14 days, and is essentially absorbed at 90 days
- Commonly used for subcuticular closure and soft tissue approximation

- Non-reflective needle finish makes the needle easier to distinguish under bright surgical lights
