Description / Surgical Specialties Y493N - Monoderm™ Suture with Needle - 1/Box
The Monoderm suture with needle from Surgical Specialties is a synthetic absorbable monofilament, meaning a single smooth strand that the body absorbs over time. It is made of Polyglycolic Acid / PCL and comes with a stainless steel precision reverse cutting needle. It is used for subcuticular closure and soft tissue approximation.

- Tensile strength retained: 64 - 76% at 7 days and 40% at 14 days, and the suture is essentially absorbed at 90 days
