The Surgical Specialties PolySyn suture is a synthetic absorbable suture, meaning the body absorbs it over time. It is braided, coated and comes with one stainless steel needle attached. It is made for surgical offices and facilities that need a clearly specified closure suture.
- 27-inch suture with 1 needle: 19 mm, 3/8 circle, reverse cutting
- Synthetic absorbable suture that is very smooth and low in friction
- Strength retention: 50% at 2 weeks and 20% at 3 weeks
- Complete mass absorption in 50 to 90 days
- Proprietary coating reduces tissue drag
- Polyglycolic acid, braided, 12-strand construction
