The Surgical Specialties PolySyn suture with needle is an absorbable suture, one the body absorbs over time, made of braided polyglycolic acid. It pairs a size 5-0 strand with a 19 mm stainless steel reverse cutting needle. It is supplied sterile for surgical and clinical settings.
- Very smooth, low-friction synthetic absorbable suture
- Strength retention: 50% at 2 weeks and 20% at 3 weeks
- Complete mass absorption in 50 to 90 days
- Proprietary coating reduces tissue drag
- Suture material: polyglycolic acid, braided, 12-strand
- Coated, undyed suture, size 5-0
- Suture length: 27 inch
