The Ethibond Excel suture with needle is a nonabsorbable braided polyester suture, made from high molecular weight, long chain, linear polyesters. It is coated and comes sterile with one attached taper point needle. Facility buyers can check the exact needle and suture specs below.

- Braided construction, made for optimal handling properties
- Highly adherent coating: a relatively nonreactive, nonabsorbable compound that acts as a lubricant
