The Ethibond Excel suture with needle is a nonabsorbable, braided polyester suture, sterile and ready to use. It is a size 2-0 green suture, 30 inches long, attached to a CT-2 1/2 circle taper point needle. Facility buyers can check the needle and suture specifications below.
- Nonabsorbable braided polyester suture made from high molecular weight, long chain, linear polyesters
- Braided construction for optimal handling properties
- Highly adherent coating made from a relatively nonreactive, nonabsorbable compound
- The coating acts as a lubricant and improves handling compared with braided, uncoated fiber
