The PDS II suture with needle is a synthetic absorbable suture, one the body gradually absorbs over time. It is a monofilament made of polydioxanone and comes attached to a stainless steel needle. It is sold sterile and uncoated.
- Long lasting synthetic absorbable suture with greater pliability and easier handling
- Strength retention is 80% at 2 weeks, 70% at 4 weeks and 60% at 6 weeks
- Complete mass absorption takes 183 to 238 days
- Made for smooth passage through tissue and low tissue reactivity
- Polydioxanone monofilament suture, size 5-0
- Uncoated, clear suture, 18 inch length
- PC-3 Precision Conventional Cutting Needle, 3/8 circle, 16 mm long
