The PDS II suture with needle from J & J Healthcare Systems is a synthetic absorbable suture, one the body absorbs over time. It is a polydioxanone monofilament, made for greater pliability and easier handling. It is supplied sterile with a stainless steel taper point needle attached.
- Long lasting synthetic absorbable suture with greater pliability and easier handling
- Strength retention of 80% at 2 weeks, 70% at 4 weeks and 60% at 6 weeks
- Complete mass absorption in 183 to 238 days
- Passes smoothly through tissue and has low tissue reactivity
- Polydioxanone monofilament suture, uncoated
- Suture size 1, violet, 36 inch suture length
- CTX needle: 1/2 circle taper point, stainless steel, 48 mm needle length
- 1 needle per suture
