The PDS II suture with needle is a synthetic absorbable suture, one the body gradually absorbs over time. It is a polydioxanone monofilament, made with greater pliability and easier handling. It comes sterile with one attached stainless steel needle.
- Long lasting synthetic absorbable suture with greater pliability and easier handling
- Strength retention of 80% at 2 weeks, 70% at 4 weeks and 60% at 6 weeks
- Complete mass absorption in 183 to 238 days
- Smooth passage through tissue and low tissue reactivity
- Polydioxanone suture material, monofilament type
- Size 5-0, uncoated, clear
- Suture length: 18 inch
