The PDS II suture with needle is a synthetic absorbable suture made of polydioxanone. It is a monofilament suture, size 3-0, supplied sterile with one stainless steel needle attached. It is made for facility buyers and clinicians who need exact suture and needle specifications.
- Long lasting synthetic absorbable suture, with greater pliability and easier handling
- Strength retention is 80% at 2 weeks, 70% at 4 weeks and 60% at 6 weeks
- Complete mass absorption in 183 to 238 days
- Smooth passage through tissue and low tissue reactivity
- Suture material: polydioxanone, monofilament, uncoated
- Suture size 3-0, violet, 27 inch suture length
- Needle: RB-1, 1/2 circle, taper point, 17 mm long
