The PDS II suture with needle from J & J Healthcare Systems is a synthetic absorbable suture, one the body gradually absorbs over time. It is a polydioxanone monofilament with a stainless steel taper point needle. It is made for facilities that need exact suture and needle specs in one sterile item.
- Long lasting synthetic absorbable suture with greater pliability and easier handling
- Strength retention of 80% at 2 weeks, 70% at 4 weeks and 60% at 6 weeks
- Complete mass absorption in 183 to 238 days
- Smooth passage through tissue and low tissue reactivity
- Polydioxanone monofilament suture, uncoated
- Suture size 3-0, violet, 27 inch suture
- CT-2 needle: 1/2 circle, taper point, stainless steel, 26 mm long
