The J & J Healthcare Systems Coated Vicryl Plus suture is an absorbable antibacterial suture, one that comes attached to a needle. It is a sterile, undyed, braided Polyglactin 910 suture, size 5-0, 18 inches long. It is sold by the box of 12.
- Antibacterial suture: the Coated Vicryl Plus design is described as killing bacteria and inhibiting bacterial colonization on the suture
- In vitro testing showed a zone of inhibition against common surgical site pathogens: Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, MRSA and MRSE
- Absorbable Polyglactin 910 suture, coated, braided, size 5-0
