Description / Covidien SP-5687G - Surgipro™ II Suture with Needle - 1/Box
The Covidien Surgipro II suture with needle is a sterile, nonabsorbable suture, one that the body does not break down over time. It is a blue polypropylene monofilament with a single P-12 needle attached. It is indicated for general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation.
- Uncoated Surgipro II suture, clear or pigmented, is inert, nonabsorbable and sterile
- Made from an isotactic, crystalline stereoisomer of polypropylene and contains polyethylene
- Indicated for general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in cardiovascular, ophthalmic and neurological surgery
- NuCoat needle coating technology maintains needle sharpness over the duration of the procedure, for consistent penetration pass after pass
- Suture is pigmented blue to enhance visibility
- Size 3-0 monofilament polypropylene suture, 18 inch length
- Precision reverse cutting needle, P-12, 3/8 circle, 19 mm long
- Alloy needle, 1-needle configuration
- 12-strand specification as listed by the manufacturer
- Sterile, uncoated suture in blue
