The Coated Vicryl suture with needle is an absorbable suture, one that the body absorbs over time, made of braided Polyglactin 910. It is sterile and double-armed, with a stainless steel spatula needle on each end. It is indicated for general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation.
- Indicated for general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in ophthalmic procedures
- Not for use in cardiovascular or neurological tissues
- Designed for ease of knot tying and knot security on the first throw
- Frequent uses: general tissue and muscle approximation, ligatures, reproductive tract, ophthalmic, and orthopedic (2nd choice)
- Loses 50% of its tensile strength after 3 weeks
- Complete mass absorption in 56 to 76 days
- Absorbable Polyglactin 910 suture, coated, braided, 12-strand
- Suture size 6-0, violet, 18 inch suture length
- Double-armed with S-14 stainless steel spatula needles
