Description / J & J Healthcare Systems J510G - Coated Vicryl™ Suture with Needle - 12/Dozen, 12/Box
The Coated Vicryl suture with needle is an absorbable suture, one that the body absorbs over time, made of braided polyglactin 910. It is sterile and comes with a 10 mm stainless steel PS-6 reverse cutting needle. It is used for general soft tissue approximation and ligation.
- Indicated for general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in ophthalmic procedures
- Not for use in cardiovascular or neurological tissues
- Made for easy knot tying and knot security on the first throw
- Frequent uses: general tissue and muscle approximation, ligatures, reproductive tract, ophthalmic and orthopedic (second choice)
- Loses 50% of its tensile strength after 3 weeks
- Complete mass absorption in 56 to 76 days
- Absorbable, coated, braided suture in polyglactin 910, size 6-0
- Undyed suture, 18 inch length, 12-strand
- PS-6 needle: 1/2 circle, reverse cutting, stainless steel, 10 mm long

What are Steri-Strips?

What is the difference between a butterfly bandage and a closure strip?
A butterfly bandage is a single narrow strip shaped to pull a small cut together. Closure strips usually come as several strips on a card and are applied in a row across a wound.
