The Coated Vicryl suture with needle is an absorbable suture, one the body absorbs over time, made from braided polyglactin 910. It comes with a 3/8 circle reverse cutting needle and is sterile. It is indicated for general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation.
- Indicated for general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including ophthalmic procedures
- Not for use in cardiovascular or neurological tissues
- Made for easy knot tying, with knot security on the first throw
- Frequent uses: general tissue and muscle approximation, ligatures, reproductive tract, ophthalmic, and orthopedic (2nd choice)
- Loses 50% of tensile strength after 3 weeks
- Complete mass absorption in 56 to 76 days
- Absorbable, coated, braided suture in polyglactin 910, size 4-0
- FS-2 needle: 3/8 circle, reverse cutting, stainless steel, 19 mm long, 1 needle
- Suture length: 18 inch, violet, 36-strand
