The Coated Vicryl suture with needle is an absorbable suture, one that the body absorbs over time, made of braided polyglactin 910. It is indicated for general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including ophthalmic procedures. It is not for use in cardiovascular or neurological tissues.
- Indicated for general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in ophthalmic procedures
- Not for use in cardiovascular or neurological tissues
- Made for ease of knot tying and knot security on the first throw
- Frequent uses: general tissue and muscle approximation, ligatures, reproductive tract, ophthalmic, and orthopedic (2nd choice)
- Loses 50% of tensile strength after 3 weeks
- Complete mass absorption in 56 to 76 days
- Absorbable, braided suture in polyglactin 910, coated, undyed
- Suture size 4-0, 27 inch suture length
- One 26 mm stainless steel needle, 1/2 circle, taper point (SH)
