The Coated Vicryl suture is an absorbable suture, one the body gradually absorbs, attached to a needle. It is made of braided Polyglactin 910 and comes with a 36 mm stainless steel taper point needle. It is indicated for general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation.
- Indicated for general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in ophthalmic procedures
- Not for use in cardiovascular or neurological tissues
- Made for ease of knot tying and knot security on the first throw
- Frequent uses: general tissue and muscle approximation, ligatures, reproductive tract, ophthalmic and orthopedic (2nd choice)
- Loses 50% of tensile strength after 3 weeks
- Complete mass absorption in 56 to 76 days
- Polyglactin 910 braided suture, coated, undyed, size 2-0
- Suture length: 27 inch
