The Smith & Nephew Primapore adhesive dressing is an island dressing, a dressing with an absorbent pad set in the center of an adhesive border. It is sterile and comes in a 10 x 20 Centimeter rectangle. The pad is thick, and the dressing is soft and easy to apply.
- Absorbent, low-adherent pad with a polyester contact layer that lets blood or exudate pass into the pad
- Contact layer designed for minimal discomfort when the dressing is removed
- Low allergy acrylic adhesive spread evenly over the nonwoven backing for secure fixation over the site
- Soft, conformable dressing that fits all sites, including shoulders and axillae
- Protector paper slit across the width of the dressing, so you can apply it without touching the pad or adhesive area with fingers or forceps
- Thick pad that limits fluid strike-through and helps protect the site from trauma
