The Smith & Nephew Primapore island dressing is a sterile adhesive dressing with an absorbent pad in the center and an adhesive border around it. It is a white rectangle that measures 8 x 15 Centimeter. It is made for facility teams and home caregivers who need a dressing with a soft, conformable backing.
- Absorbent, low-adherent pad: a polyester contact layer lets blood or exudate pass into the absorbent pad
- Low allergy acrylic adhesive is spread evenly over the nonwoven backing for secure fixation over the wound site
- Soft and conformable, made to fit all wound sites, including difficult areas such as shoulders and axillae
- Protector paper is slit across the width of the dressing, so you can apply it without touching the pad or adhesive area with fingers or forceps
