The Ethibond Excel suture with needle is a nonabsorbable suture made of braided polyester. It comes with one 40 mm Surgalloy taper cutting needle, and it is supplied sterile. The suture is coated and braided for handling.
- Nonabsorbable braided polyester suture made from high molecular weight, long chain, linear polyesters
- Braided construction, made for optimal handling properties
- Highly adherent coating made from a relatively nonreactive, nonabsorbable compound
- The coating acts as a lubricant, which mechanically improves the suture's physical properties and handling compared with braided, uncoated fiber
- Suture size 2, V-37 needle
- Suture length: 30 inch
