Prolene is a nonabsorbable monofilament suture with a needle, made of polypropylene. It is indicated for general soft tissue approximation and ligation. The suture is double-armed, with a needle at each end, and comes sterile.
- Nonabsorbable monofilament suture indicated for general soft tissue approximation and ligation
- Used in cardiovascular, ophthalmic and neurological procedures
- Non-adherent to tissue, which makes it a fit for skin closure
- Bright blue color makes the suture easier to see when it is time to remove it
