The Prolene suture with needle is a nonabsorbable monofilament suture, a single strand that does not break down in the body. It is indicated for general soft tissue approximation and ligation. It comes sterile, with a 3/8 circle precision conventional cutting needle attached.
- Nonabsorbable monofilament suture indicated for general soft tissue approximation and ligation
- Used in cardiovascular, ophthalmic and neurological procedures
- Non-adherent to tissue, which makes it a fit for skin closure
- Bright blue color makes the suture easier to see when it is time to remove it
