The Prolene suture with needle is a nonabsorbable monofilament suture, one that is not broken down by the body over time. It is indicated for general soft tissue approximation and ligation. It is made of blue polypropylene and comes attached to a stainless steel PS-3 reverse cutting needle.
- Nonabsorbable monofilament suture indicated for general soft tissue approximation and ligation
- Used in cardiovascular, ophthalmic and neurological procedures
- Non-adherent to tissue, which makes it a fit for skin closure
- Bright blue color makes the suture easier to see when it is time to remove it
