The Prolene suture with needle is a nonabsorbable monofilament suture, meaning a single smooth strand that the body does not break down. It is indicated for general soft tissue approximation (bringing tissue edges together) and ligation (tying off). It is size 3-0 and comes with an FS-2 needle.
