The Covidien Biosyn suture with needle is an absorbable suture, one the body gradually absorbs over time. It is a sterile monofilament suture made from Glycomer 631, a synthetic polyester. It is paired with a 13 mm precision reverse cutting needle.
- Made from Glycomer 631, a synthetic polyester composed of glycolide (60%), dioxanone (14%) and trimethylene carbonate (26%)
- Monofilament construction for smooth passage through tissue
- Supports the wound for up to 3 weeks
- Complete mass absorption in 90 to 110 days
- Absorbable suture with needle, size 4-0
- P-13 needle: precision reverse cutting, 3/8 circle, 13 mm long, alloy needle
- One needle per suture
