Description / Covidien SC5690G - Caprosyn™ Suture with Needle - 1/Box
The Covidien Caprosyn suture with needle is a synthetic absorbable suture, one that the body absorbs over time, in a monofilament (single-strand) construction. It pairs a size 4-0 suture with a P-13 3/8 circle precision reverse cutting needle. It is indicated for general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation.
- Monofilament synthetic absorbable suture that provides short term tensile strength
- Quick-absorbing, durable polymer material with monofilament construction for smooth passage through tissue
- Made for approximation or ligation of soft tissue
- Indicated for general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation
- Not for use in cardiovascular or neurological surgery, microsurgery, or ophthalmic surgery
- Complete mass absorption in approximately 56 days
- Monofilament surface creates less tissue drag than the twisted surface of Gut sutures
- Suture size 4-0, polyester material, monofilament type
