The ConvaTec Aquacel Ag Advantage dressing is a silver Hydrofiber dressing, supplied as a sterile ribbon. It is a primary dressing, meaning it is placed directly on the wound bed. It is made for chronic and acute wounds with varying exudate (wound fluid) levels.
- Primary dressing for chronic and acute wounds with varying exudate levels
- Combines two technologies in one dressing: Hydrofiber and Advantage silver technology
- Hydrofiber technology absorbs wound fluid and forms a soft gel, keeping a moist wound environment
- Locks in exudate and bacteria within the dressing
- Micro-contours to the wound bed, leaving no dead space
- Advantage technology is a formulation used with the ionic silver in the dressing
- Silver activity within the dressing is sustained for up to 7 days
