The BD Insyte Autoguard peripheral IV catheter is a 22 gauge, 1 inch catheter with a push-button safety shield that covers the needle after use. It has stabilizing wings for taping the catheter down and a catheter made of BD Vialon polyurethane biomaterial. It is supplied sterile.

- Stabilizing wings give you a large surface area for taping down the catheter, which improves catheter securement
- Push-button operation: at the push of a button, the needle retracts instantly, which reduces the risk of accidental needle stick injuries
