The 3M Adaptic oil emulsion impregnated dressing is a nonadherent wound dressing, one that is made not to stick to the wound. It is a sterile white rectangle that measures 3 x 8 inches. It is made by Solventum Corporation.
- Knitted cellulose acetate is impregnated with a petrolatum emulsion, so exudate (wound fluid) can pass through easily to the absorbent dressing
- Nonadherent, so the dressing does not stick to wounds
- Can be cut or trimmed without unraveling or shredding
