The 3M Adaptic dressing is a nonadherent dressing, one that is made not to stick to the wound. It is knitted cellulose acetate impregnated with a petrolatum emulsion. It is a sterile, rectangular dressing that measures 3 x 8 inches.
- Knitted cellulose acetate is impregnated with a petrolatum emulsion, so exudate (wound fluid) can pass through easily to the absorbent dressing
