Description / McKesson Brand 3564 - McKesson Alginate Dressing, ¾ x 12 inch - 1/Each, 5/Box, 50/Case
The McKesson Alginate Dressing is a sterile calcium alginate dressing in a rope shape, made for packing and filling wounds. It measures 3/4 x 12 inch (1.9 x 30.5 centimeters). A secondary dressing is needed to hold it in place.
- Gelling profile is designed so the dressing does not stick to the wound bed and keeps its physical integrity, so it can come out of the wound in one piece
- Highly absorptive and non-occlusive
- Can be used to fill or pack the dead space in a wound
- Helps absorb moderate to heavy amounts of wound exudate (fluid) and may help control minor bleeding
- May be trimmed to fit the dimensions of the wound
- Needs a secondary dressing to hold it in place and to protect the wound from outside contaminants
- Sterile
- Size: 1.9 x 30.5 centimeters (3/4 x 12 inch)
- Material: calcium alginate
- Shape: rope
- Color: white
- Length: 5 to 12 inch length
- Not made with natural rubber latex
Check that you have a secondary dressing to hold the alginate in place, and confirm the 3/4 x 12 inch rope size fits your wound before ordering.
