Description / McKesson Brand 3561 - McKesson Alginate Dressing, 2 x 2 Inch - 1/Each, 10/Box, 100/Case
The McKesson Alginate Dressing is a sterile calcium alginate dressing, a soft absorbent pad made from seaweed-based fiber. It measures 2 x 2 inches and is square. It is made for wounds that produce moderate to heavy amounts of fluid, called exudate.
- Gelling profile is designed so the dressing does not stick to the wound bed and keeps its integrity, so it can be removed from the wound in one piece
- Highly absorptive and nonocclusive
- Can be used to fill or pack the dead space in a wound
- Helps absorb moderate to heavy amounts of wound exudate and may help control minor bleeding
- May be trimmed to fit wound dimensions
- Needs a secondary dressing to hold the alginate in place and to protect the wound from outside contaminants
- Size: 2 x 2 inches
- Material: calcium alginate
- Shape: square
- Color: white
- Length: up to 4 inch length
- Sterile
- Not made with natural rubber latex
Check that the 2 x 2 inch size suits your wound, and have a secondary dressing on hand to hold it in place.
