Description / J & J Healthcare Systems VR834 - Coated Vicryl™ Rapide Suture with Needle - 12/Dozen, 12/Box
The Vicryl Rapide coated suture with needle is an absorbable suture, meaning the body absorbs it over time and it does not need to be removed. It is made of braided polyglactin 910 and comes attached to a 13 mm precision conventional cutting needle. It is sold sterile for use by clinical staff.
- Indicated for superficial soft tissue approximation of the skin and mucosa where only short-term wound support (7 to 10 days) is needed
- Initial strength comparable to that of Nylon and Gut
- Coated Vicryl Rapide suture elicits lower tissue reaction than chromic gut suture
- Coated Vicryl Rapide suture is the fastest-absorbing synthetic suture
- Absorbable suture, size 5-0
