Description / J & J Healthcare Systems VR494 - Coated Vicryl™ Rapide Suture with Needle - 12/Dozen, 12/Box
The Vicryl Rapide suture is a coated, braided absorbable suture, one the body absorbs over time, with an attached needle. It is made of polyglactin 910 and comes with a 13 mm stainless steel precision reverse cutting needle. It is indicated for superficial soft tissue approximation of the skin and mucosa.
- Indicated for superficial soft tissue approximation of the skin and mucosa where only short-term wound support (7 to 10 days) is needed
- Initial strength comparable to that of Nylon and Gut
- Causes lower tissue reaction than chromic gut suture
- The fastest-absorbing synthetic suture
