Description / J & J Healthcare Systems 9000G - Ethilon™ Suture with Needle - 12/Dozen, 12/Box
The Ethilon suture with needle is a nonabsorbable suture, meaning it is not broken down and absorbed by the body. It is a single-strand (monofilament) polyamide suture in size 10-0, supplied sterile. It comes double-armed, with a stainless steel ophthalmic spatula needle at each end.
- Nonabsorbable monofilament suture made from a long polymer chain
- Dyed black to make the suture easier to see in tissue
- Causes a minimal acute inflammatory response from tissue
- Very slow encapsulation and degradation, over 1 to 2 years
- Polyamide suture material, size 10-0, uncoated
- Monofilament type, 12-strand
