The Ethilon suture with reverse cutting needle is a nonabsorbable suture, meaning it stays in place and is not broken down by the body as an absorbable suture is. It is a sterile, black nylon monofilament, a single smooth strand, size 3-0. It comes with one stainless steel needle attached.
