The J & J Healthcare Systems Perma-Hand suture is a nonabsorbable, sterile surgical suture made of silk, an organic protein. It comes attached to one stainless steel reverse cutting needle. It is a braided suture, size 4-0, in black.

- Processed to remove the natural waxes and gums found in raw silk
- Coated with a special wax mixture
- Processed for optimum handling and knot security without excess capillarity
