The J & J Healthcare Systems Perma-Hand suture with needle is a nonabsorbable sterile surgical suture, meaning it is not broken down by the body. It is made of silk, an organic protein, and comes attached to a stainless steel precision reverse cutting needle. Each suture is size 4-0 and 18 inches long.
