The J & J Healthcare Systems Perma-Hand suture with needle is a nonabsorbable sterile surgical suture, meaning it is not broken down by the body. It is made of braided black silk, an organic protein, and comes double-armed with a stainless steel needle on each end. It is made for surgical and clinical settings that need a dependable silk suture.
