The BD Saf-T-Intima Peripheral Catheter System is a closed IV catheter, a catheter system with an attached PRN port. It has a needle shielding device and a winged hub with blood control. It is made with BD Vialon polyurethane biomaterial.

- Flexible, textured wings give you control of the catheter and a broad base for a secure, low-profile tape down
- BD Vialon, a proprietary biomaterial, is used for the catheter
- Made to reduce IV restarts due to complications
