The BD Saf-T-Intima closed IV catheter system is a catheter with a built-in PRN port and a needle shielding device. It is a 24 gauge, 3/4 inch catheter made from BD Vialon polyurethane biomaterial. It is supplied sterile for facility and home care use.
- Needle shielding device with a retracting safety feature
- Flexible, textured wings give you control of the catheter and a broad base for a secure, low-profile tape down and patient comfort
- BD Vialon, a proprietary biomaterial, is the catheter material
- Designed to reduce IV restarts due to fewer complications
