The Surgical Specialties nylon suture with needle is a nonabsorbable suture, one that is not broken down by the body. It is a monofilament, a single smooth strand, made of polyamide nylon. It is sterile and comes with one 18 mm stainless steel needle attached.
- Monofilament nylon, a polyamide suture with characteristically high tensile strength
- Uniform, smooth surface allows easy passage through tissue
- Designed to reduce tissue trauma and to resist tissue ingrowth
