The Molnlycke Mepitel One is a wound contact layer dressing, a thin silicone layer that sits directly against the wound under other dressings. It is a sterile, rectangular dressing in a 4 x 7 inch size. It is made for facility and home use where a transparent, one-sided silicone layer is needed.
- Designed to keep trauma low at dressing changes
- Safetac layer on the wound contact side only (one sided), for easy handling and application
- May stay in place for up to 14 days, which allows fewer dressing changes and an undisturbed dressing
- Supports less frequent dressing changes
- Designed to minimize the risk of maceration, which is softening of the skin from moisture
- Leaves no residue and does not dry out
- Transparent, so you can inspect the wound during application and wear
