The Molnlycke Mepitel One is a wound contact layer dressing, a thin layer that sits directly on the wound under a secondary dressing. It is a sterile, one-sided silicone and mesh dressing in a 2 x 3 inch size. You can see the wound through the layer without removing it.
- One-sided wound contact layer lets you observe the wound without removing the dressing
- Safetac technology is made to protect new tissue and intact skin, so the wound stays undisturbed
- Open mesh structure lets exudate (wound fluid) pass through into a secondary absorbent dressing
- Open mesh also allows topical treatments to be delivered through the layer
- Secondary dressings can be changed without disturbing the wound bed
- Can remain in place for up to 14 days
