The Valleylab REM Polyhesive patient return electrode from Medtronic MITG is a single-use style return pad, a grounding electrode placed on the patient during electrosurgery. It is sized for infant patients and has a 15 foot cord. It is made for use with contact monitoring generators.
- Made with PolyHesive II hydrogel, a high-moisture conductive adhesive that lowers skin resistance
- The hydrogel has elongation properties, so it fills in voids and irregularities
- Large surface area disperses current over a wide area, minimizing heat buildup
- Acrylic adhesive improves the quality of pad contact
- The acrylic adhesive also provides a moisture barrier to reduce the potential for fluid invasion
