The Shiley Hi-Lo Intermediate Hi-Lo endotracheal tube is a cuffed airway tube, one that sits in the windpipe with an inflatable cuff around it. It is made for adults and comes sterile in a curved shape with a 7.0 mm ID. It suits oral and nasal intubations where a shorter cuff is desired.
- Tip-To-Tip radiopaque line along the tube
- Pilot balloon with a mechanical self-sealing valve
- Suited to oral and nasal intubations where a shorter cuff is desired
- Thin cuff forms a low-pressure seal and conforms to uneven tracheal surfaces
- Low intracuff pressure is spread over an adequate surface area, designed to reduce the risk of tracheal tissue damage
