Description / Hemosure PRE-PACK IFOB20 - Hemosure® Fecal Occult Blood (iFOB or FIT) Colorectal Cancer Screening Test Kit - 1/Box
The Hemosure fecal occult blood test kit, also called an iFOB or FIT test, is a colorectal cancer screening test kit for stool samples. Each box has 20 tests: 20 test cassettes and 20 home kits with return mailers. The test is CLIA waived and read visually.
- Qualitative sandwich dye conjugate immunoassay, a test that shows a positive or negative result rather than a measured amount
- Uses a combination of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies to selectively identify blood in human feces, with a high degree of sensitivity
- Made as an aid in the diagnosis of fecal occult blood, meaning blood in stool that cannot be seen
- Detects elevated levels of human hemoglobin as low as 0.05 ugHb/mL in less than 5 minutes
- Positive results for high levels of hemoglobin can appear as early as 1 or 2 minutes
- Pack includes 20 fecal occult blood test cassettes and 20 home kits
- Each home kit has a collection tube, two collection papers, patient instructions and a return envelope
